In May 2010 the company was purchased by Peter Blair and Jonny Boomer with a plan to grow and further develop the product range already produced by AB Pneumatics

AB Pneumatics Ltd, based in Lisburn N.Ireland, provides a manufacturing service of rubber vulcanisation for both Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and for spares.

The AB Pneumatics service offers design, validation and manufacture of systems for a varied range of customers and products.

2011 has been a very exciting year for AB Pneumatics and we intend to build on this in 2012. With the introduction of our new KTP Associate Steven Boal who has been brought in to develop the engineering and design side of the business we hope to build on the successes of the last 30 years.

The company has steadily grown the capacity of seat airspring business and will now be actively be looking to introduce more of this type of work over the next 12-24 months, there also has been major improvements with the manufacture of shockabsorber sleeves and we have worked closely with our customers to come up with innovative ideas for this.

A decision in 2011 was to be serious about the export markets and we have now started to produce rubber products for the Netherlands which was a result of a Netherlands Outlook programme ran by Lisburn City Council in partnership with NI-NL.

However our most exciting prospect for the new year is the development of the Donut rubber Spring, it has taken over two years to develop and test but we now feel that our product will be a large part of our business. 

The Donut Spring can be used in many different applications and as we have already discovered customers are already using a similar products across different markets.  It is the intention of AB Pneumatics working with our distributors to get this product into the markets all over the world where we know it is being used.  Our range of Donut Springs is expanding as we further develop this products but a number have been identified as common sizes. 

Pneumatic components are also a big part of our companies vision and AB Pneumatics are very pleased to be able to offer the full Univer range. 

The company offers full testing facilities and has ISO accreditation and works closely with local universities such as Queens University Belfast for polymer developments.

With a manufacturing facility close to M1/A1 interchange AB Pneumatics offers short turnaround times and fast delivery of products and components through the UK, Ireland and Europe.
